Welcome to Mississauga Swimming. We are one of the largest non-profit, community based swim clubs in the nation & are affiliated with the City of Mississauga, Swim Ontario and Swim Canada.  Our programs cover introductory to national competitive levels.  Competitive programs (Wave 3 and higher) are offered via the Mississauga Aquatic Club (MSSAC).  Introductory programs (Wave 1 & 2) are offered though the Mississauga Development Club (MSDC).

Message from the Club President, Stephen Rockett MSSAC ANNOUNCES 2008/09 COACHING STAFF
I wish all MSSAC families a great summer. The swim season has swam by quickly. I would like to thank everyone for your support of the club and the strong performances our swimmers have put in this year.

Congratulations to all the MSSAC swimmers that are competing in the Long Course Provincials in Thunder Bay. Everyone can keep updated with our team's results on the Thunder Bay Thunderbolts website. The following members are competing: Olivia Bellio, Meghan Borg, Sarah Doyle, Kim Fleming, Victoria Gardiner, Jessie Hickey, Rachel Hickey, Marcus Hughes, Laura Johnston, Michael Kalman, Janica Lee, Melanie McDonald, Stephanie McDonald, Victor Truong, Megan Vuong, Gillian Wu, Wennie Zhang & Karen Zhao.

Cynthia Berringer & Nydia Langill will compete in the Canadian SWAD Can-Am Open in Victoria starting July 11th.  This is a national level meet & we're very proud of the accomplishments of these swimmers and wish them continued success in B.C.

Age Group National qualifiers are are still in the pool training for Calgary. The team of 20 will travel July 18th to enjoy some western hospitality and fantastic competition. We congratulate these qualifiers and extremely dedicated swimmers in their quests to be the best in Canada. Mississauga Acquatic Club - Registration Mississauga Development Club - Registration for Wave 1 & 2
Existing Members: MSSAC is nearly full and to secure your spot for next year & reduce the chaos in September, we'll be holding registration in mind-June. If you have questions about your swimmer's placement for next year, please don't hesitate to start talking with your coach now. You may also contact our Head Coach, Mike Rutledge.

If you are not available on any of these nights, the Club Office will be open for registration on Monday June 23 from 4pm to 7pm or mail the completed forms to the office prior to June 23rd.

Please ensure all your forms and cheques are filled-out and signed prior to arriving at registration.

As of July 1st, programs with open positions will be made available to new members.

Registration for the 2008-09 season is now open, with programs starting this fall.

Free Rookie Training Camps in September
If you're not sure what program is best for your swimmer, we have a solution.  We're offering a FREE Rookie Training Camp Not sure what program is best? We’re offering FREE Rookie Training Camps. There are two camps and each has 3 sessions. Experienced coaches will work with your swimmer & will provide helpful feedback regarding what program is best.

Camp 1:

  • Sept 8th, 6:00-7:00PM at Huron Park
  • Sept 10th, 6:00-7:00PM at Huron Park
  • Sept 12th at U of T in Mississauga from 6:30-7:30PM

Camp 2:

  • Sept 9th, 7:30-8:30PM at Erin Meadows

Mississauga Swimming is a non-profit organization made up of very dedicated volunteers!  Over the past few years, these exemplary people have made great strides forward.  Many of these key individuals have recently retired from the Club or have already served in their current position for 2 years.  To ensure continued success, we are asking you to join our volunteer community now.  Interested individuals can donate their time, energy and expertise at every level, from helping with one social event per year to joining the Board.  With a positive attitude and a willingness to lend a hand, you will have a great impact on your child's athletic environment, and love of swimming.

We are excited to introduce our new fundraising initiative, The MSSAC Shop & Support Fundraising Program.

The program consists of gift cards and certificates from over 250 retailers, including Canadian Tire, Shoppers Drug Mart, Sobeys, Old Navy, Petro Canada, The Gap and many, many more. These certificates can be used the same as cash towards your purchases with a percentage of the sales returned to MSSAC.  Amounts earned vary by retailer, ranging from 1% to 15%.

We need support for this summer's sessions & are asking for your support.  Volunteering for the summer sessions will be credited toward the 2007-08 season. Reminder: Each family is required to provide a member, aged 18 years or older to volunteer for two Bingo sessions over the next year.  For details, click here...

Tag Day :

In January the LCBO will release the 2008 & we hope to secure a Saturday in the spring.  The dates will be added to the website & will be communicated via the Parent Reps as soon as they're available.

More Swim Meets in Mississauga Thanks to $64,400 Ontario Trillium Foundation Grant

The Mississauga Swimming Development Club (MSDC) and the Mississauga Aquatic Club (MSSAC) announced on April 13th that they will purchase a state-of-the-art electronic timing system for swimming, thanks to a $64,400 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.  Click here for the full press release...
